1.Who We Are
Taxi Now Group Holdings Ltd (“Taxi Now”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates four divisions: Taxi Now App (zero-commission taxi booking), Taxi Now Media (advertising on licensed black cabs), Taxi Now Group (trade membership), and Taxi Now Academy (free Knowledge of London training). These Terms apply to all users across all four divisions, with division-specific terms set out below.
2.Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website, app, or any Taxi Now service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
3.Driver Ownership Model — Protections Against Sale
This section applies across all divisions and forms the core structural protection of the Taxi Now platform. It exists to ensure Taxi Now cannot follow the pattern seen elsewhere in the trade, where platforms marketed as driver-friendly were later sold on without driver consent or benefit.
- Registered Taxi Now drivers hold a collective ownership stake in Taxi Now Group Holdings Ltd, recorded in the company's Articles of Association.
- 0% commission on Taxi Now App fares is locked into the Articles of Association and cannot be altered by management decision alone.
- No sale, merger, acquisition, or transfer of Taxi Now Group Holdings Ltd, or of the Taxi Now App specifically, may take place without the affirmative vote of at least 95% of driver shareholders. This threshold cannot be lowered, waived, or bypassed by any officer, director, or investor of the company.
These protections cannot be amended by a simple majority vote or unilateral company decision. Any change to this section itself is subject to the same 95% driver shareholder threshold.
4.Taxi Now App — Terms for Passengers
4.1 Booking and Fares
- Bookings carry a flat £2 booking fee, charged in addition to the metered fare.
- Payment is processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your card details.
4.2 Cancellations
- If you cancel a booking after a driver has accepted it, a Pipeline Cancellation Fee of £7.00 may be charged.
- Repeated or abusive cancellations may lead to account suspension.
4.3 Conduct
Passengers must treat drivers with respect. Abusive behaviour may result in account suspension without refund.
5.Taxi Now App — Terms for Drivers
5.1 Eligibility
Open to fully licensed London black cab drivers with a valid TfL badge and insurance.
5.2 Earnings
- 0% commission on fares (see Section 3). You keep 100% of your metered fare.
- Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect.
5.3 Conduct
- Drivers are not obligated to accept every job, but repeated rejections may affect visibility.
- Repeated cancellations without reasonable cause may result in temporary suspension or removal from the platform.
6.Taxi Now Media — Terms for Advertisers
6.1 Advertising Services
- Taxi Now Media sells outdoor advertising space on the licensed black cab fleet.
- Campaign bookings, formats, and pricing are agreed individually and confirmed in writing before a campaign begins.
6.2 Payment
Advertisers agree to the payment terms set out in their individual campaign agreement.
7.Taxi Now Media — Terms for Drivers
- Drivers may opt in to carry Taxi Now Media advertising on their vehicle in exchange for additional income.
- Earning rates and payment schedule are set out in the driver's individual Media agreement.
- Participation is optional and drivers may withdraw at any time in line with the notice period in their agreement.
8.Taxi Now Group — Trade Membership Terms
8.1 Membership
Membership is open to licensed London taxi drivers and provides access to trade representation, member benefits, and support services as advertised at the time of joining.
8.2 Fees
Membership costs £25.99, billed in line with the schedule confirmed at signup.
8.3 Cancellation
Members may cancel membership at any time in line with the notice period set out at signup.
9.Taxi Now Academy — Terms for Students
9.1 Access
Taxi Now Academy is free to access. There is no charge for Blue Book runs, structured lessons, or core training materials.
9.2 Call-Over / Booking Feature
Where offered, students may book individual sessions with a call-over partner. Booking terms and availability are set out within the platform.
9.3 Content Use
Academy materials are provided free for personal study use and may not be redistributed, resold, or repackaged commercially.
10.Disputes & Complaints
All concerns should be submitted to info@taxinowgroup.co.uk. We aim to resolve disputes fairly and promptly. Legal jurisdiction: England & Wales.
11.Privacy and Data Use
Data is processed under UK GDPR. Please see our full Privacy Policy for details on what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
12.Amendments
Taxi Now Group Holdings Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms. Material changes will be posted on our website and app. Section 3 (Driver Ownership Model) may only be amended in line with the 95% driver shareholder threshold it sets out.
